what should I do bsc computer science vs bsc computer science honours
Hello Aspirant,
Though the course structure and duration is the same ,both B.Sc general and B.Sc hons differ in terms of their syllabus. B.Sc general is more of a multidisciplinary degree where you will have additional subjects such as math, physics etc along with computer science. B.Sc. (Hons.) Computer Science on the other hand is a more in-depth or advanced level degree covering a wide range of topics including object-oriented programming, artificial intelligence, mobile computing and computational mathematics, computer languages and tools such as Java, C++, Android, SQL, Python, MATLAB and assembler, and specialist hardware such as Arduino microcontrollers etc. Honours degree is for those who wish to take a research field, it has got other scopes too. Top companies will prefer hons candidate aa you would be having better knowledge compared to general candidate. Bsc hons have more value than Bsc general . So if you can get admission in B.Sc (Hons) then go for it . However ,B.Sc computer science general is fine too. Anyways the ultimate decision is yours , decide based on your interest ,fee structure ,college etc.
All the best
