Hi,

An Aeronautical engineer is eligible to apply to the ICRB ISRO exam in Mechanical Engineering discipline.

ICRB has just conducted the written exams for the Mechanical, Electronics and Computer Science disciplines for the post of Scientist/Engineer 'SC' on 12 January 2020. Keep in touch with the official webpage of ISRO Careers for information related to the recruitments and their eligibility.

Hope this addresses

Jyothi For job after MSc. Physics you need minimum 65% marks/6.5 CGPA out of 10 in both your undergraduate and postgraduation. Keep a check on the ISRO careers page for more information related to recruitments and eligibility. Thanks

Jyothi It depends on the post you are applying to. It is preferable to take up Engineering for better job options in ISRO. As you are in 12th, you can also try for IIST; as direct recruitment takes place for ISRO Scientist post.

Jyothi After completing your undergraduate or dual degree course at IIST within 4 and 5 yrs respectively, and if you have a minimum CGPA of 7.5 out of 10 at the end of your course; you will be in the position for recruitment to ISRO. You don't need to give the ICRB written exam in this case. However, ISRO does not guarantee job to all eligible students; as it is depended on the order of merit based on the vacancies notified by ISRO for that particular year.

To get into IIST after 12th in the first place, you need to crack and get good marks in both JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. If at all you dont make it then you can complete your Btech or MSc from any other recognised university and then apply through the ICRB exam.
