You have a decent score in GATE and this score can definitely get you to the good NITs or some of the IITs for sure. It solely doesn't depend upon your score but it depends on the branch you wish to choose and the availability of it in the institution. You scored a very good score in the exam and being a student of SC category will add more benifit to your court. The results of gate2019 aren't out yet but if we look at previous year cutoff, in 2018 the cutoff for SC category was 16.6 , in 2017 it was 16.60 and in 2016 it was again 16.6. Hence your are qualified for the exam. Moreover with these marks you'll be able to get admission into the top institutes including the IITs.
