what's the difference between an IPS officer and a CBI officer?

Hello!!!

Ips stands for indian police service and cbi stands for central Bureau of investigation

CBI is a law enforcement agency working under central government .

IPS is law and order controlling authority .

IPS mostly deals with local crimes in a division or state it is powered with IPC and CRPC acts but CBI is investigation department it deals in Big crimes like corruption Murder its head is director. It is empowered with section 4 of Delhi special police establishment .
