Dear Radha ,

The difference between PGDM and MBA

PGDM stand for post graduation diploma in management and another way MBA stand for Master in business Administration. MBA course conducted by universities but PGDM only conducted by autonomous institute  those are only affiliated by AICTE  minister of HRD and gov of INDIA.

When we will go through studies level both subjects are almost same like COMPUTER SCIENCE and INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY but the major difference is  MBA focus  on Theoretical management and PGDM focus  on Technical and practical industry base .

I hope it will helpful

Hi,

MBA is a degree offered by Universities while PGDM is a diploma in management offered by institutes that are recognised by All India Council for technical Education (AICTE). Colleges offering MBA follow academic curriculum prescribed by University while PGDM institutes have the felexiflexi to design there own courses within the parameters prescribed by AICTE.

thank you.

Hello aspirant. So MBA is master of business administration and PGDM is post graduation in management.

Basically both of them are management courses. But pgdm is like a diploma course.

That is what the end of pgdm, students are offered with diploma where as at the end of mba, students receive a degree.

Course curriculum is almost same for both but mba concentrates on more theoretical concepts. One who has done something in management go for pgdm. Else they go for mba to learn from scratch

However when done in a reputed university m both of them hold same value

Hi, Hope you are doing well.

PGDM is considered to be a diploma, while a university-affiliated MBA is counted as a degree, giving you a better standing. In India, as well as overseas, both MBA and PGDM courses are regarded as having equal value when it comes to career prospects abroad.

PGDM is more flexible in terms of syllabus whereas MBA is not.
Hope this helps!
