Hello Aspirant,

See if any candidate belongs to any of the reserved category like EWS/OBC/SC/T/PwD then he/she would be allotted a category rank along with the CRL rank and in JOSAA counselling the category rank is used for seat allotment in NITs/IIITs/CFTIs/GFTIs but in CSAB special rounds counselling only CRL rank is to be used for seat allotment but for Unreserved/General category candidates only CRL rank is allotted and the same to be used for seat allotment.

Simply your category rank denotes your position among the candidates of your category for e.g. you 10k OBC rank which means that out of all OBC candidates who appeared for JEE-Main 2021, you are on 10,000th place but CRL rank denotes your position among all the candidates who appeared for JEE-Main 2021 irrespective of their category.

As the JEE-Main result is out, so to have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your rank, category, and state you can use JEE-Main College Predictor:-

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!
