The authority earlier had announced the dates of Tamil Nadu MBBS 2019 counselling along with the release of merit list. As per the official notification, the counselling of TN MBBS/BDS 2019 has begun from July 8 to 13, for government quota seats. Only candidates included in the state merit list are called for the counselling of Tamil Nadu MBBS 2019. DMET, Tamil Nadu organises two rounds of counselling for the government as well as management quota. The eligible aspirants are called for counselling as per their merit position in the state rank list for admission to 85% state quota seats. As per the eligibility criteria, it is mandatory for students to qualify in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test ( NEET ) by securing the minimum qualifying percentile for admission to medical and dental colleges.
