Hi aspirant

If you are much intreseted in hardware designing you must take electronics and communication engineering rather computer science .If you will take computer science you won't will be able to focus on harwadare design,because CSE is more oriented to programming and algorithm design,networks, OS ..etc.But if you will take Electronics you will get basic knowlwdge of cse and a very good knowledge of components used to design a computer system i.e hardware.So if you are serious for hardware you should opt ECE.

CSE: C programming,Data structure,Java,Software design,Algorithms,Computer networks,OS,Linux,Computer organisation and architecture,DBMS..etc

ECE:Digital electronics,Embedded system,Signals and system,Computer organisation and architecture,Computer networks,Communication,Telecommunication ...etc

Of course there are many opportunities for jobs in hardware engineering.

You will get to analyze the hardware , test them also design them.

If you have passion to solve problems then you can go for this course. You must also have good communication skills to get a good job.
