hi,
see there is many books available in market, however if you want to study from initial level then you should follow rs agarwal, there is separate books available written by rs agarwal on quantitative aptitude, logical and verbal reasoning. after that you need to study the previous years questions papers of ssc cgl which is very important for exams point of view, since time is less compare to the questions structure you need to give most focus for general awareness part, unless you score around 40-45 in gk it is really hard to clear the first stage of cgl .
you may follow lucent gks books for practice.
Hey aspirant
The competitive exams generally comprise of quantitative, qualitative aptitude, language skills and General Awareness (static and dynamic GK) .
For Quantitative aptitude, books by R S Aggarwal, Arun Sharma and Arihant Publications are recommended.
For qualitative and reasoning, books by M K Pandey, R S Aggarwal and Arun Sharma are good.
For English Language, book by S P Bakshi and Kiran Prakashan are good.
For static and dynamic GK, you should go properly through NCERT books and CSR, Manorama Yearbook.
Hope this helps you
