If you want more practice, you can refer the following books -
- H. C. VERMA - PHYSICS

- R. C. MUKHERJEE - CHEMISTRY
- SOLOMONS and FRYHLE - ORGANIC CHEMISTRY
Hope this helps,
Good luck!
Hey ,
To prepare for jee mains, you need to go through all the ncert's of physics, chemistry and maths at least. Chemistry is the main scoring subject in jee mains and the only way to score good marks is by treating chemistry as bible. For physics, Pradeep's might be a good reference book as it contains previous year's jee questions. For maths, RD Sharma might be a good reference.
Physics
- Concepts of Physics Volume 1 & 2 (HC Verma): Without doubt, the most used book throughout India for preparing for JEE Physics. Contains good amount of problems and theory.
- Physics/Principles of Physics/Fundamentals of Physics (Resnick, Halliday, Krane/Walker): Go-to for theory explanation in fair detail. You can also choose University Physics for JEE by Freedman and Young, as an alternative. It also explains concepts well.
- Understanding Physics for JEE (DC Pandey): This series has 5 books and it can prove to be useful if you want more exposure to problems. A good series.
- Problems in General Physics (Igor E. Irodov): If you are an exclusive Main writer then don't use this but to sharpen your Advanced aptitude you can solve this. Not a necessity, you should solve it only if you have time left.
Chemistry
Physical Chemistry
- NCERT: Theory and problems covered well.
- P. Bahadur: An excellent book for physical chemistry (get the numerical one).
Inorganic Chemistry
- NCERT: For inorganic chemistry, NCERT is more than sufficient. If you want, you can buy a problem book like VK Jaiswal for exposure but, if you use NCERT well, then even that will not be needed.
- JD Lee: If you really want to go in depth and study inorganic chemistry well (and you have lot of time), then use this book.
Organic Chemistry
This is where most of the foreign authors make an entry. You should have NCERT as a base, a good foreign author book and an Indian problem book based on JEE.
- NCERT: Again remember to study your NCERT as you can build additional knowledge of reactions, mechanisms and reagents on your basics.
- Solomon's Fryhle/LG Wade/Morrison Boyd: Choose any one. This will build the majority of your knowledge theoretically. I will suggest using LG Wade’s Organic book, it explains stuff very well. Morrison Boyd is a very advanced book. Solomon’s is also good, you can use it if you want. But choose only one.
- MS Chouhan: An amazing problem book, and a must solve for JEE.
Mathematics
- Arihant Skills In Mathematics series: Some fantastic books authored by Amit Agarwal and SK Goyal, get the entire series and solve it properly along with your coaching material, if you go to one and your math will be rock-solid.
- Problems Plus IIT Mathematics by A Das Gupta: A good problem book with a mix of subjective and objective questions that will enhance your aptitude.
- Higher Algebra by Hall and Knight: Do only relevant chapters from this book like Complex Numbers and Quadratic Equations, Permutation and Combinations, Binomial Theorem, Determinants and so on. You might need a copy of the syllabus to mark the relevant chapters for study.
- Plane Trigonometry by SL Loney: If you are not content with the Arihant book for trigonometry, here’s one for you. Solve it properly as it is very small, though usually trigonometry isn’t asked directly in the JEE.
