You have asked about CBIT Hyderabad, and VIT, both are private colleges. The very first thing I suggest to everyone to opt for the college near to your house. But if you are comfortable going far away from home then its completely your choice.

Now talking from the money prespective, VIT will cost you aroung 1.8 lakhs whereas CBIT will cost you nearly 2 lakhs. But spending 2 Lakhs on CBIT wil not be a wise choice. So from this point of view VIT takes hit the score.

Now we come to ranking of the colleges, VIT was ranked 15 among best engineering colleges in India, whereas talking about CBIT, it was ranked in the band of 101-150. So form these rankings it is very clear that where you should go.

Now placements plays a very important role in deciding the college, first we have CBIT:

Placements are good. At least most of the students got placed in there dream companies. Microsoft did visited the campus offering 21 lpa for service engineer role. Unfortunately no one could make it.Highest package would be from Accolite which has offered 10 lpa to Balaji from Cse. Next companies with offers ranging from 6lpa to 8lpa would be Oracle(15), Deloitte(32), JP Morgan and Chase(22), Pega(8), Callidus Cloud(5), FactSet (2), NCR(4), HSBC(1) , Samsung R&D (5) etc. And rest of all companies with packages ranging from 3.5-5.

Now the scenario in VIT is a bit different:

Salary depends solely on your excellence and brilliance. Maximum salary offered is 23.3LPA this time by citibank,Morgan Stanley, followed by NVIDIA 18.4 LPA then Barclays 15.5LPA and so on. An average guy gets salary of 4.5-5.5 LPA. But for CS and IT graduates, minimum 3.5 LPA is assured.

At last I would suggest you to go with VIT university because of its infrastructure, placements, aluminis, results and of-course reputation too

According to the current trends and placement scenario . VIT vellore is much better as compared to cbit hyderabad. Vit vellore has a very good infrastructure and its ranking is much better than cbit hyderabad . if you are interested in joining a technical course like b.tech than vit vellore is the best option for you .
