ADI SHANKARA INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY and FEDERAL INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY both are colleges that attract foot fall of students in large numbers every year, all those who want to pursue engineering.

This may be considered as second- tier colleges.

Amongst both of them FISAT has higher ranking in education, value for money, activities, college placements etc.
