Hello there, hope you're doing well!
I feel that your question is concerned directly to your academic interest, I am answering regarding that below-
My simple answer would be choose well according to your interest in the stream. Both of the colleges are premier institutions. If you're having serious interests in Metallurgical and Material Engineering then go for NIT Raipur else if you're enthusiastic about chemical engineering branch,
Welcome to IIPE!
Being a student of chemical engineering in IIPE, my personal opinion about the course curriculum is "excellent" and the professors are very helpful and available! The seniors are very cooperative.
That's it from my side!
Adieu!
Greetings!
Comparing different Institutes is in itself a very complicated procedure, and comparing different branches further muddies the waters. Having said that, I would like to just list the features and general information about both the Institutes and let the reader make the appropriate choice depending on their circumstances.
NIT Raipur, having been established in 1956, is one of India's oldest universities with a plethora of courses. With a vast network, it has shown average to good placements in the Metallurgical and materials engineering stream.
However, having said that, the Indian Institute has certain unassailable traits compared to NIT. While both Institutes can boast a highly experienced faculty, IIPE takes it a step further by modelling their curriculum similar to other institutes accepting JEE-Advanced scores, namely IITs and RGIPT.
IIPE currently provides courses for only Chemical and Petroleum Engineering, and thus, more attention can pe provided to the students in this field with their holistic growth in mind, and to instill further community building and knowledge sharing.
NIT R, may trump over with B-Tech in Computer Science or IT, but, when Metallurgical and materials engineering comes up, IIPE holds an edge since presently, the placements have exponentially increased in the recent years at IIPE, with 98%. students getting placed, with an average CTC of 9.5 LPA. (You can go to iipe.ac.in and see the incremental growth in placements.) Not to forget, IIPE is a premier institute of national importance at par with IITs and IIMs and with the pedestal firmly placed on placements, we can expect huge growth for IIPE to be the bastion in the fast growing energy field for at least the next fifty years.
Ultimately, readers should make their own independent choices by going through all the details meticulously and see which college and fields suits them the most.
Hope the answer satisfies you! Cheers!
