National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) is a premier institute of Design, Management and Technology. It caters to the needs of fashion business. It is statutory institute governed by the NIFT Act 2006, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. Presently it has 16 professionally managed campuses at New Delhi, Chennai, Gandhinagar, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubneshwar, Jodhpur, Kangra, Kannur, Patna, Raebareli, Shillong and Shrinagar.

Under Regular Programmes it offers 7 Bachelor’s Degree (4 yrs) programme and 3 Master’s Degree (2 yrs) Programme namely:

• Bachelor of Fashion Technology or B.F.Tech in Apparel Production.
• Bachelor of Design or B.Des. (Accessory Design)
• Bachelor of Design or B.Des. (Fashion Design)
• Bachelor of Design or B.Des. (Fashion Communication)
• Bachelor of Design or B.Des. (Knitwear Design)
• Bachelor of Design or B.Des. (Leather Design)
• Bachelor of Design or B.Des. (Textile Design)
• Master of Design or M.Des.
• Master of Fashion Management or M.F.M
• Master of Fashion Technology or M.F.Tech

Apart from these it offers PhD programme (5 yrs) as well.

NIFT also offers a range of certificate courses under Continuing Education (CE) Programme ( Duration ranges from 1 month to 1 year ). These courses are offered at campus level. Different campuses offering different courses to meet the demand. Some popular CE programmes are :

• Fashion and Clothing Technology (1 year)
• Fashion Retail Management (1 year)
• Textile for Interior and Fashion (1 year)
• Fashion Enterprise and Business Management (1 year)
• E-commerce for Fashion Business (3 month)
