Hello applicant,

* Finance, accounting and business are the most likely choices, but investment firms and banks may also be pleased to see degrees in economics, mathematics or engineering.

*Make career in global banking with Imarticus learning!

*For a banking job, you need to be a graduate from any recognized university with 50% marks and above. You can be a BCom, BSc, BA, BBI, BTech or for that matter any degree.

*If banking is your career goal, here’s what you can do:

1 Create a smart resume and LinkedIn profile.

2 Send your resume to all the banks and/or register on their portals

3 Keep visiting their websites and check out the ‘career’ section for job openings. Apply to specific positions of your liking.

4 You can register with various job search portals like Naukri, Indeed and others

5 You can engage the services of headhunters who deal with banks.

6 Use your personal network in case you have one.

7 There are also banking diploma courses offered by some private institutions in case you are okay with the fees. You could explore these options although they are not mandatory to get a job in banks.

*Hiring procedures will depend on the bank. I would suggest you prepare yourself for the aptitude tests, group discussion and personal interviews and also enhance your customer handling and selling skills.

*PREPARING FOR APTITUDE TESTS

*There are plenty of sites available like Indiabix and others. Check them out. Familiarize with the type of questions and practice well.

*PREPARING FOR INTERVIEWS

*To help bank job aspirants prepare well for their interviews, I have authored a book titled ‘Be a BankPro’.

*It is a comprehensive bank guide which will enable you with the latest banking domain knowledge; job skills like customer handling; how to sell bank products and meet targets; capital markets; financial advisory; core banking systems; new technology trends; channels and platforms, regulatory compliance; general and finance awareness; quizzes; wide range of mock interview questions; how to prepare for GDs and the contemporary topics one can expect etc.

*The book helps you prepare more holistically to face interviews with confidence. It is available on all Amazon sites. Do check it out. You may find it useful.

Hope it helpful.
