Hello Vaishali,
Mechanical and Civil Engineering are the two oldest and most applied fields of engineering.
Civil Engineering is primarily about construction, design, and maintenance of the civil structures, infrastructures, and buildings.
Mechanical Engineering, on the other hand, is the engineering stream that deals in the mechanics of automobiles and other machines.
Both these fields are evergreen and offer great job prospects to the students. These fields are applied in every sphere of life and in all places of the world.
So, it basically depends upon your interest that in which field you want to go.
Hope it helps.
Good Luck!
Hi Aspirant,
Nowdays there are no streams as such which has gender division.Every one is doing everything or choosing every job prospects.Actually the civil and mechanical includes industrial works and jobs.Hence the jobs become little bit tedious and labourous. However if you are a girl then you can take engineering courses like computer science,IT,biotechnology etc.If you are ready to take up the tedious job then go for mechanical or civil which one interests you more.
Hope it helps!!
