Hey,
Both computer science and Information Technology provide good chances of employment opportunities.
IT careers are generally about installing, maintaining, and improving computer systems, operating networks, and databases whereas computer science is about using mathematics to program systems to run more efficiently, including in design and development. Both provide job opportunities in government sector and private sector. So,be sure about your calling and work accordingly.
Hope this helps.
Good luck.

Hi aspirant,

Computer Science Engineering (CSE) and Information Technology both are offering a large number of opportunities for students. They have wider scope, jobs and application and hence the scope in CSE and IT is increasingly growing.

I would say that CSE is the parent branch whereas IT is its derivative branch. IT generally focuses on the real world application of computer knowledge i.e. on software part only. On the other hand, CSE is a broader field it focuses on software, hardware and also has a little bit electronics and electrical side to it.

Hence your first priority should be CSE and then IT.

All the best.
