Well, lemme explain elaborately:
Biotechnology:
After BTech, you can find jobs in pharmaceutical companies, research labs, and institutions in India. However, you may go abroad to pursue your masters or doctorate studies in Biotechnology and allied fields. You can also shift to MBA and enter the world of business, finance, and banking. Also, you can shift to software through on-campus placements. Talking about on-campus placements, since the number of job openings is very less in Biotechnology, the number of companies coming for placements will be very less. Also, core companies only hire students from universities such as IITs, NITs etc. If your university is not reputed nationally or state wise, to be frank and precise, chances of any biotech or pharmaceutical company coming for placements sessions will be close to nil.
Biomedical:
Here also, you can go for higher studies in India or in abroad. But here you will get more exposure to top companies like
And you have the options to go to the research labs like (I'm talking about inside India only)
According to me, you will have more chances in Biomedical as this branch is growing in quite faster rate.
