Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala is a way better option.

Placements in college are excellent. The average salary package offered is around 6.5-7.5 LPA, and it is offered to computers, electronics and ENC students. The highest salary package offered this year was 39 LPA, and it was offered by Microsoft to almost 6 students. There were around 3-4 companies which offered salary package more than 25 LPA. There are also companies that provide internships to 3rd-year students.

The infrastructure of Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology is top notch. The new department for computer science is equipped with top machines and all kinds of facilities. They have around 14 hostels in total. The hostel fee is ranging from Rs. 26,000 per semester to Rs. 49,000 per semester.

Faculty members in the college are like most other colleges ranges from not that good to downright excellent. But you'll find multiple teachers who would encourage you to help with the research work and academics.

Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology, Delhi :

• The college is a private engineering college and was eshtablished in the year 2001. The college campus is about 8 acres with 131 faculties.
• The college is affiliated to Guru Govind Singh Indrapastha University, Delhi and has also been accredited 'A' grade by NAAC.
• The college has the facilities like boys hostel, girsl hostel, library, sports, cafeteria, medical/hospital,wifi etc.
• As far as the placements are concerned, a B.E./B.Tech students gets a average package of 4.20 Lakhs.
• As per the reviews of the students, the college is pretty good.

Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala :

• It is a private deemed to be university and was eshtablished in the year 1956. The university campus is about 250 acres with 482 faculties.
• The university is UGC approved and is also accredited 'A+' grade by NAAC. Also, it is ranked at 27th position among universities and at 23rd position among engineering colleges by NIRF.
• The university campus has the required facilities like boys hostel, girsl hostel, gym, library, sports, cafeteria, medical/hospital, wifi, transport, alumni association, parking facility etc.
• Talking about placements, a B.E./B.Tech gets a average package of 6.20 Lakhs.
• As per the reviews of the students, the college is pretty good.

Now according to be Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology is better compared to Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology. The former has better facilities, better teaching experience since it is way old eshtablished college, better recognition and better placements. But if you are interested CSE branch then go for MSIT, else go for Thapar Institute.
