See....if you looking for a Govt. engineering college then mmmut Gorakhpur will be a preffered choise in Uttar Pradesh. If you want to take private engineering college then VIT will also be a good option because it has a descent records in placement / studies as well qality wise.

If you talking about choice between Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur and VIT Vellore. In that case there is no doubt VIT is better option but if you belong to north India then we suggest you to opt for MMMUT because it is a public university and holds a good reputation among engineering universities in Uttar Pradesh. As a state university the fee and other living expenses is very low as compare to VIT vellore. Engineering rating of VIT vellore is "AAAA+" and MMMUT Gorakhpur is 'AAA+'.

Im listing out a few points for you to compare the two.

According to Careers360 VIT has a rating of AAAA+ whereas MMMUT has AAA+.

VIT Vellore is a private University whereas MMMUT is a university set up by the Uttar Pradesh Government.

Placements at VIT are better than MMMUT

The fee charged at VIT is very very high compared to MMMUT.

If you have secured a good score in JEE mains or MET 2018 and are getting a branch of your choice it is better to opt for MMMUT.

If you scored well in VITEEE and are in the merit list your fee would be normal but the bigger the rank the fee keeps increasing and is quite high.
