Hi,
Status: While JNTU (Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University) and OU (Osmania University) are universities, CBIT (Chaitanya Bharatiya Institute of Technology) is regarded as a college. Hence, if you are planning on higher studies, JNTU and OU would give you the “brand name” you require.
Ranking: If you go as per admission ranking, you need to get a relatively good rank if you want to get admitted into JNTU or OU.
Infrastructure: (such as computer labs) is relatively good at CBIT when compared to JNTU and OU, and this is in part due to the fee-structure which we discuss next. Nevertheless, the auditorium at JNTU, which was even visited by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, is something which I still like to boast about.
Tuition: The college tuition is remarkably less in JNTU and OU when compared to CBIT due the fact that JNTU and OU both receive funds from the government.
Professors/Research: As far as professors are concerned, JNTU clearly holds the upper hand. Several senior professors have an outstanding name in the research community with several stellar publications on their name.
Placements/Jobs: Coming to the most desired aspect of computed science - the placements. In this category all 3 institutes perform equally, and as far as JNTU is concerned - you will, as per previous years statistics, have 95% chance of getting placed.
