Hello aspirant
Every field is unique, but there is little difference in an Agriculturist and a Horticulturist.
BSC in Agriculture deals with production of food and cultivation of plants.
BSC in horticulture deals with cultivation of plants, a Horticulturist works on improving plant yield.
After graduation in Agriculture or Horticulture you have following job opportunities
Project manager
Designer
Landscape designer
Counsellor
Fore man
Horticulturist
Horticulture education supervisor
Assistant manager of human resources
Agriculture inspector
Scientists
Professor
Teacher
Pest manager
Enhancement manager
Business development manager
Irrigation manager.
So you have lot of options. WE NEED A DOCTOR ONCE IN A DAY BUT WE NEED A FARMER THREE TIMES A DAY.
Hello student,
Both the courses BSc Agriculture and BSc Horticulture have their own different future prospects and career options. Both courses provide student with good job opportunities. But it is the student that should decide the career path according to his aspirations but not with peer pressure. So hope you choose the best career path that suits you better.
Hello Aspirant,
When compared between the both fields then according to me B.Sc. in horticulture would be a great option. As B.sc horticulture is more specialized field than b.sc agriculture. There is high demand of professionals in this field regarding plant cultivation . Government and private sectors offer employment opportunities in plantation , agriculture machinery units, agriculture products manufacturing unit, business firms, sales and marketing, field research work , teaching , irrigation department, project manager , landscape designer, horticulturist , foreman , and many more.
As the requirement for such professionals is increasing every year, choosing to make a career into the field would really be rewarding with lots of opportunities.
Hope this helps
Good Luck
