Hello aspirant,

Hope you are doing well.

To be honest, metallurgy has no scope these days. Hardly companies come to hire a true metallurgical engineer. You again anyhow have to try your hands on coding if you want to get a high package job. However I feel doing an MSc in Chemistry would be a better option. Because if later,:

  • you develop interest towards chemistry, you can do research and go for PhD
  • you can sit for UPSC exams
  • you will be a postgraduate that will be helpful in many ways whil applying for a PhD.
  • you can appear for MBA as well.

Hope that you got the answer to your question. Feel free to comment back incase of any doubts. All the Best!
