In terms of scope and package, ECE has better advantage than Information Technology. If you do B.Tech. in ECE then you can also go for IT Industry. Since, Electronics device is main part of Information technology evolution. So these two branch are almost integrated.  For example- Smart Phones are made by electronic engineer that carry information. Electronic devices runs on Operating systems that are developed by IT professional and CSE Engineer.

But there are other factors too, for scope and salary package-

1. Your colleges infrastructure

2. Your personal potential and will power to work hard.



These above two factors are most crucial for any ones success.

If you have more interest in IT Then don't go for ECE.
