Which is better bsc or bsc honours by maths?
Hey Jatin.
A Bachelor’s degree, or Bachelor’s degree (Hons), are both academic degrees given to undergraduate students. Though these two are both academic degrees, they only have a very slight difference.
B. Sc honours is more advantageous than doing a regular B. Sc degree because of several reasons-
1.You get a very strong background in your honours subject (which I presume is your subject of interest) so that would help to take you a long way.
2. Some universities for P. G. programmes ask only for applicants with a honours degree eg. BHU, CU etc. But there are no universities who asks specifically for B.Sc students. ie. if you are a honours student you can apply anywhere without any restrictions .
3. If you wish to take up a career in acadenics then having a honours degree ithe subject for which you wish to apply for a teaching position definitely gives you an edge over others.
4. There's no point in being a jack of all and king of none (hope you understand what I mean)
P. S:- Never choose any subject especially your honours subject depending on what others have to say. Take up only that subject which you like and you feel that ou would be able to tolerate throughout because more chances are there that your career would build up around the subject you chose for your Bsc as your major or hons subject.
Hope this serves your query. All the best.
