Hi, so it depends. Let me explain you the main difference between IT and Computer Science.
IT i.e., Information Technology is the practical implementation of software technologies. An IT professional works on the pre-built softwares. The have the sufficient knowledge about programming but they don't explicitly design programs aka softwares. They basically maintain the software that a software engineer builds. IT professionals are specialists in fields such as software development, desktop support, network security etc.
Whereas a computer science professional designes softwares. They actually write programs and built working softwares that are available in the market. A computer science engineer understands the complexity of computers. A computer science major can be expected of building a system like operating systems, android system etc.
So to sum up your question, Information Technology is the subset of Computer Science. If you are a software engineering professional so technically you already know everything about Information Technology.
So based on this computer science is better.
Hope this is helpful.
