Getting into NIT itself is a great achievement so, congratulations.
Now, I believe that rather than focusing on the ranking of the college focus on which branch you want to opt for. It is no secret that metallurgy doesn’t have much scope for placements and on the other hand EEE has a better offering when it comes to placements. I believe that the location of the NIT and its ranking should be the deciding factor for the branch.

Regarding your question, both the branches are good, choosing between them depends on your interest, Do no go for the brand value of the college rather focus on your interest and in which field you want to work. Although NIT college is good but getting placements would be tough in core subject of metallurgy.
