Hey!
Although both 3 year LLB and 5 year LLB are undergraduate courses but if you are sure and certain that you want to begin with law, you should go for 5 year LLB as it will in depth from the beginning revolve around the course as compared to 3 year LLB. But, if you want to keep your options open like if you have other considerations or options in mind and not sure if Law is the course you wish to devote your time to, then go for 3 year LLB. It will keep some options open and to study the course of 3 year LLB, you need to complete the graduation first . So after graduating from a bachelor's degree, if you have other options you want to pursue you can do so. If we look at the time period of completing each of these courses, for 5 year LLB, 5 years is the time period whereas for pursuing a 3 year LLB, you will atleast complete your undergraduate or bachelor's degree of 3 years and then after that you will have to give entrance examinations for various Colleges and Universities and then again the course will take 3 years. Also, National Law Universities (NLUs) provide 5 year Law courses which are much better than any other colleges offering the course. So, if you want to do your undergraduate from NLUs, then go for 5 year law course.
