Hello Aspirant,

Each branch is good it depends on your interest & capability.  Some of the core branches:

CSE: It is not only development & coding but also testing and life-time support, which needs CSE engineers in drove. The major chunk of jobs offered in India, every year, are for CS engineers.

ECE: An electronic engineer can find a job in Consumer electronics manufacturing organization , Telecommunication & IT industries, Internet technologies, Power Electronics, and other industries like steel, petroleum and chemical industry.

EEE: Electrical & Electronics engineers can work in wide range of fields such as power generation, electronics, computers & control systems, telecommunication and Bio-Medical.

ME:India always had robust heavy-manufacturing industries like steel, metal, forging, automobile and mining. All these industries require steady inflow of fresh Mechanical engineering graduates.

Civil Engineering: Civil Engineers are usually required in every field some of them:Government Departments, Local Authorities, Civil Engineering Contractor, Civil Engineering Consultants.

Good Luck!

hi sayuj,

Engineering has a list of many branches, all of which are very important for the development of nation. Regarding best branch,To be honest, it depends on your interests, your likes and dislikes in 11,12 syllabus. For example, if you are interested in topics/chapter like electrostatics and current electricity of 12th and have a likeness for circuits then you can choose electrical engineering or if you are loved mechanics of 11th, you can choose engineering branches like mechanical, civil engineering. You also have option of choosing chemical engineering if you had interest in chemistry of 11th and 12th. Do you like programming or computers? Wanna know how they work? For this you can choose computer science engineering. Computer science engineering/Information Technology engineering is the most demanded branch nowdays because of CS engineers demand due booming IT industry and technology. CSE is also the highest paid branch. CSE has highest salary when compared to other branches in all colleges. Similarly you can choose other branch also which I haven't mentioned if you like that specific branch. If you are neutral about all the branches then CSE is preferred by students because of the benefits it gives which I mentioned above. Whichever branch you choose please work hard and try to get best B.Tech college possible. There is difference of day and night in top tier colleges and tier-3/lower engineering colleges in their facilities, peer group , placements etc.

I hope this answer will help.
All the best for the future!!
