IIT ISM in spite of having years old legacy and strong infrastructure, also has strong Placements, Research Facilities and Faculty across branches. Hence IIT ISM is definitely better than many newer IITs like Jammu, Jodhpur and Palakkad. However branch is also a matter of concern, dont blindly go for any branch at IIT ISM, unless youre interested to know more about it or have interest.
