Hi prince

It depends on your career goals whether you want to go for General MBA or specialised MBA.

General MBA will provide you the basics in business and management. It builds a foundation of knowledge of different aspects of business. It focuses on your Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Operations, Humans resources and Integrating course of strategic management.

Instead of specialising in one domain, you can have greater understanding of various departments and it's functions in a company.

Also , if you have leadership qualities and you are confident to work in different kinds of industries.

Or, if you haven't made up your mind yet on which industry you should work in future then you can save this specialisation option for later and go for regular MBA for now.

Whereas, specialised MBA can be a difficult decision to make.as you have to choose a single field and you'll have in depth knowledge related to that particular field only.

Specialised MBA provides you in depth knowledge about  your field only. And also you are prepared to face a particular market. And also, you'll not have any confusion as you have focused on one single field and you know that you have to make your career in that particular field.

Various areas of specialisation include:

Human resource management, Finance, Marketing, retail etc .

Both general and specialised have disadvantages as well:

In general MBA , you don't have a specialised area to join . And secondly, you don't have in-depth knowledge of any particular field.

In specialised MBA, you don't have many options because you've chosen a particular field so you'll have limited number of options.

Secondly, if in case you opt for wrong field of specialisation, then you might face difficulties in your career.

And thirdly, the expertise you acquire will be limited to one area only, so it's very important to be sure about the field you choose before you put all your efforts in specialised MBA.

It's entirely upto you, in general MBA you can shift to other sectors, you need to have good leadership qualities and proper basic knowledge of all the sectors.

Whereas specialised MBA provides you expertise in one particular sector, you have a focused career. But make sure before choosing a particular sector that you don't regret later.

Choosing a single field can sometimes be dangerous if you randomly choose any one field. So if you want to go for specialised MBA then make sure you have interest and knowledge in that field.
