while loading tunning fork with wax what happens to the freq it increases or decreases?

See the frequency is proportional to the square root of (k/m) which implies that the frequency is inversely proportional to m. So as we wax the tuning fork, the mass increase as a result the frequency will decrease.

Hi reader ,

frequency is f is proportional to sqrt(k/m)

when we wax the tuning fork , we increase the mass on it and since frequency is inversely proportional to square root of mass so the frequncy of tuning fork decreases on waxing it.
