Hello student,

The main reason for student not opting the IOT branch is that it is a specialization branch. Studying in a specialization branch limits your further options of career in the future and restricts you to study that domain itself. Moreover, if you later understand that you dont have ay interest in that branch, there is no way of turning back. Also, as these branches are new and still people are unaware of its industry effects and placement record, students hesitate to study these branch degrees. Hence, students be on a safer side by avoiding these specialization branches and thus, their cutoffs are low.

I hope this helps, All the Best!

Dear Aspirant,

Branches like iot, cyber security, buisness systems, data science in computer science and engineering are specialisation branches .

They have been introduced newly in many of the private universities/colleges. It's not like it's something bad . It's just that these are recent new branches and that's why the cut offs are low and people generally goes by the cut offs and opt for higher cut off.
