Why is it that low ranked institutes have much higher cut off than high ranked institutes?

Hello Tanish,

Generally on average colleges have not high cutoff of the exam. Any specific college you wish to know then kindly mention so that I can solve your doubt.

Thanks Madam for ur reply.
Example is Thapar Institute ranked 20 and Punjab Engineering College which does not feature even in top 100.

However cutoff for CSE for Thapar was up to 45000 while PEC it was 10000.
