Hi Priya
It's nothing like that ,that would not be mistake if you choose South campus.
Assuming that your question is based on - Classroom education, Infrastructure of the colleges, Crowd, and personality development, I can tell that South Campus has an upper-hand.
1. Classroom Education - We all agree that this is the most valid criterion to evaluate and rank colleges. It is a myth that teachers are more qualified in NC than SC. All the teaching and non-teaching staff in the colleges are on a centralized pay-roll of University of Delhi. A professor in NC, has equal salary, equal education, equal versatility or anything else as compared to a teacher in NC. The difference comes when you compare the research papers and curriculum books written by professors, which are far better in both quality and quantity authored by professors in SC than NC.
2. Crowd - I know a lot of people are tacitly interested in inquiring the campus crowd. To be honest there is nothing like a campus in SC, there is one strip of colleges in Benito Zuarej Marg, which accommodates 5-6 colleges and others are scattered like Shaheed Bhagat Singh College and DCAC. However, the polished and intellectual (either ways it suits you) crowd is attracted more by SC than NC.
3. Personality Development - Would be great either in SC or NC. In either colleges of the university, the cut-off percentage is close to 95%, and that is a lot of marks. So, by just being a part of the University of Delhi, either SC or NC is a massive achievement.
4. College Infrastructure - Most of the colleges in South Campus are relatively new, and have a tinch of modernity in their campus. Although, the campus zone as such is better in NC. The difference is marginal because it largely depends on the particular college. For example, LSR being a part of SC, arguably has the best campus in the University Of Delhi.
Therefore, to conclude SC marginally outshines NC on 3/4 criterion.
