The cutoff of smit is higher for smit than manipal Jaipur due to following reasoñs.
1. SMIT has now about 20 years of experience in the field while Jaipur is much new in comparison
2. Experienced faculties from various IITs and NITs and with research opportunities
3. It has tie ups with Various government organisation like drdo.
4) the fees are less compared to Manipal Jaipur
5) better Alumni network
Due to the above mentioned reasons, you might interpret that SMIT is a better choice and thus it's cut off is high.

I mean to say that on the basis of mu-oet exam, as per last year trend cut off for cse in smu is 40k whereas in muj it's 10k
