Hello Preetam,
There is no reason given by the NIFT about the age limit to give entrance exam. The major reason behind these type of eligibility criteria to give entrance exam is that the Candidate must have join the graduation course before the age limit set by them. For SC/ST the age limit is relaxed by 5 years by NIFT.
