In order to become a doctor, you need to appear for NEET first. As neet is the only Entrance examination for admission to all Medical, dental and ayush courses in India and Abroad. Now AIIMS MBBS and JIPMER MBBS has been scrapped and these two have been merged with Neet. So admission to AIIMS, JIPMER, AFMC is also done through Neet. There are certain criteria to be eligible for Neet. As per the Neet eligibility criteria, the candidate must has passed 12th or equivalent from a recognized board with English and Physics, Chemistry annd Biology or Biotechnology (have to pass in both the theory and practical examination) with at least 50% (for general category) marks in aggregate of PCB (Includes both theory and practical score) and the minimum marks criteria is 40% for OBC, SC and ST candidates and 45% marks for PwD candidates. So, if you meet the above mentioned percentage criteria in PCB then you are eligible for Neet examination. The candidates must be at least 17 years old as on December 31 of the year of examination. As of now, there is no maximum age criteria until Supreme Court passes any judgement on it. You can apply for Neet 2021 once the application releases.
