Dear Student,
It won't affect at the time of placement as placement is offered on your technical skills throughout your engineering years. But yes, you will be asked wherever you go, about why you chose to take a drop. You need to be able to convince them of your reasons. Until & unless you can help them with their projects/work in office, drop won't make much a difference after 12th.
