The Agriculture University, Jodhpur, established on September 2013, under Act No. 21 of 2013 by the Government of Rajasthan, is dedicated to producing proficient and educated human resources in agriculture and allied sciences. It aims to uplift the farming community's economy, prioritising enhanced farmer income through crop, horticultural, and livestock production, while ensuring lifelong employability. 

It encompasses multiple units including three Agricultural Colleges, an Institute for Diploma in Agriculture (IDA), two Agricultural Research Stations (ARS), three Agricultural Research Sub-Stations (ARSS), and six Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs). The university's influence extends to guiding extension professionals at both the state and national levels, fostering agriculture and allied sector development, and effectively transferring agricultural technologies to farmers and stakeholders.
