At the undergraduate level, Don Bosco University admission is offered to B.E/B.Tech, B.Sc (Hons), B.A (Hons), B.Com, B.C.A, B.B.A, etc., courses, while at the postgraduate level, Don Bosco University admission is offered to M.B.A., M.C.A., M.A, M.E/M.Tech courses. 

Don Bosco University admission to some courses is based on an All India Level Entrance Test/University Level Entrance Test/State Level Entrance Test followed by an interview, whereas admission to others is based on merit in the qualifying examination. 

Candidates who do not appear for JEE or State Entrance Tests must appear for the Graduate Entrance Test conducted by Assam Don Bosco University Guwahati. The DBU-GET for B.Tech will examine the candidates on their proficiency in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at the HSC.
