72 MonthsPh.D. program in Mathematics shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work, and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned and offered by Gauhati University, Guwahati.
Eligibility Criteria
Master's degree in relevant discipline with a minimum CGPA of 6.5/10 or 60% for Engineering or Grade B or 55% of marks in UGC 7 point scale for others.
Or
B. Tech degree in relevant discipline with a minimum CGPA of 8.5/10 or 80% marks in aggregate.
Written Test/Personal Interview will be conducted as per the notification in due time.
Admission Details
The selection process is through a Written Test followed by a Personal Interview.

The infrastructure of our college is very good. The campus is small compared to IITG or NITS, but it's far better than AEG and JEC. Hostels are good with quality facilities such as LAN with a speed of 1 Gbps. There is a recreation centre for music lovers. Labs are good, and there are visual labs too. Quality of food available in the canteen is moderate.
