24 MonthsManagement of health and safety in the workplace is a legal and moral obligation. Our M.Sc. Occupational Health and Industrial Safety course has an interdisciplinary approach that integrates various disciplines to address the problems in a comprehensive manner. This innovative course is one of its kind as a full time two years regular programme. A range of conceptual and practical issues on occupational health raised in the course are, on the one hand, tested in the field set up and, on the other hand, enriched by networking with experts and practitioners. It has potential for epidemiological environmental monitoring and corollary toxicology studies in hazardous occupations for recognition and evaluation of risk factors, development and use of tools for early diagnosis of health impairment. Design of appropriate intervention measures for the prevention of hazards at work places.
A Candidate must have passed M.B.B.S. / B.D.S. / B.Sc. (Allied Health Sciences) / B.Sc. (Life Sciences / Biosciences) / B.Sc. Botany with Ancillary Zoology / B.Sc. (Biotechnology / Microbiology) / Bachelor of Physiotherapy (B.P.T.) / Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (B.O.T.) / Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.) / Bachelor in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology / B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Physician's Assistant or any graduate degree in Medical / Health Science awarded by a recognized Indian or Foreign University.
Admission will be based on merit and personal interview.
