CSJMU Kanpur Placements

Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, also known as CSJM University, is a state-run public university based in the Kanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University was previously known as Kanpur University. It was established in 1966 when the Agra University split into Kanpur and Agra Universities. The main campus of the university spreads across a land of 264 acres which serves as the house of all the hostels, administrative and academic blocks.

Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University Placement Process

Step 1: The university has a University Placement Cell (UPC) that caters to the students and eases the placement process. The university first sends the companies an annexure that demands information about the recruitment, including the vacancies and the tentative job offers.

Step 2: With the information in hand, the university starts preparing its students. They are informed about the on-campus arrival of the firms and given pre placement talks accordingly so that they are clear about what to expect.

Step 3: On the day of the campus arrival of companies, the students submit their resumes. Then the students go through a written test which checks their aptitude, logical reasoning and technical skills. With this, they try to shortlist the students that go ahead.

Step 4: Shortlisted students are then called in for group discussions. Students that pass the group discussion rounds are further called in for a personal interview with HR and other members of the firm.

Step 5: Once the student passes the personal interview, he is given an offer letter that describes his role in the company and also talks about his tentative salary package.

College placement is good only and needs the improvement to focus more on placement drives . Almost every student got the opportunities to perform in placement drives . The average salary offered is 3-4 LPA CTC which is too low.

Placement was started few years back. And since it is in initial so now there are very few placements however number of placements are increasing year by year. Placements are being in good companies for example tata consultancy.

As a student pursuing a B.A. in Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences from CSJMU, you are currently not eligible to appear for the GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) exam, as GATE primarily focuses on science, engineering, and technology disciplines.
