Advertising and Branding, Film and Television and Digital Marketing and Communications are offered as majors and minors. Students can also take a minor in Human Resource Management, Operations and Entrepreneurship. FLAME University's MBA (Communications Management) is committed to develop communication management professionals who are equipped with knowledge, skills, insights and wisdom to deal with complexities of the communication field. In order to shape communication professionals for tomorrow we have developed rigorous academic processes, latest and innovative pedagogical tools, interactive in-class methodologies, focus on ethics and an updated curriculum that captures the nuances of the ever nascent academic domain of communication.
The curriculum of MBA (Communications Management) shapes creative, effective and ethical communication managers by inculcating a habit of original thinking. The program is rooted in liberal education. With globalization and emergence of new media, the practice of communication requires creative thinking and innovative problem solving abilities. Therefore, FLAME University has made a radical departure from traditional models of communications management education by providing access to courses from multiple disciplines including social sciences, humanities, fine arts and performing arts and by providing opportunity to learn, develop, and hone creative thinking. The evaluation is not based on a simple rote learning based annual examination system; rather, there is continuous evaluation through case study presentations and projects. Hence, the test is not only of what the students have learnt but also how much they have understood, internalized and able to apply to real life communications management situations.
The MBA (Communications Management) curriculum is an ingenious mix of courses from the field of general management, marketing management, communication, film and television, journalism, traditional media and new media. Getting knowledge from such diverse fields equips students with tools to deal and manage the complexities of communication in today’s networked society.
