Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar admissions for the academic year 2025 are open.
It having all the basic facilities , infrastructure and campus is quite big. Campus contains all the facilities like sports facilities, big in campus library having thousands of books, so many indoor and outdoor sports games are available in hostel.
Academics really appreciated with the best quality of teachers. The curriculum was well updated to the industrial requirements with all recent developments. They are very cooperative and very helpful too.
College having good placement as many companies are coming for the placement drives. Almost each and every students got placed with average salary package of 4-5 LPA. Placement process are easy and pleasant to us as our college is also supportive.
The infrastructure at this college is very student-friendly. The classrooms are spacious and equipped with the latest teaching aids. The library is a treasure trove of knowledge, and the computer labs are up-to-date with the latest software. The campus also has excellent sports facilities and recreational areas.
The college has a strong academic reputation, with a curriculum that balances theory and practice. Professors are not only experts in their fields but also excellent mentors who guide students through their academic journey. The college also emphasizes interdisciplinary learning, allowing students to explore various fields of study.
The college offers excellent placement support, with a high success rate in getting students placed. The placement cell conducts various workshops on interview techniques, aptitude tests, and soft skills, which are crucial for cracking interviews. The college’s reputation attracts top-tier companies, providing students with lucrative job offers.
The campus is very beautifully built and the hostels have sufficient amenities like lifts, Wi-Fi, reading rooms, badminton court, common rooms, etc. The university canteens and hostel mess are very hygienic & the food being provided by them is good. (The infrastructure of the main campus looks good from outside but it is terrible inside.)
Guru Nank Dev University has an experienced faculty as well as supportive who are PhD, diploma, and degree holders and having deep knowledge of industries. The course curriculum is very confined and covers many subjects that are useful later during a job.
Companies like TCS, Nagarro, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, Statusbrew, Infogain, Capgemini, SAP, Wipro, Amazon and many other companies visit our campus for recruiting the eligible candidates according to their particular criteria. No placement is offered for B.Com students, but the quality of education provided is very good.
My fees was 5 lacs of whole course. Yes it give the best value for money.
Good.
Nothing much, but just focused on your dream company and work hard for that.
The university campus in Amritsar has all the necessary facilities available for the students. The library building is a significant landmark and an iconic structure in the university with a vast collection of literary resources. The living spaces are also very clean and well maintained.
The architecture program for which I enrolled was a great program with highly experienced faculty and adequate resources in the department like a dedicated workshop and practical learning space. The curriculum can be updated to incorporate the contemporary standards and the current industry norms.
In my department of architecture the placement scenario is not the best as placements are not considered the primary priority for the course. Students generally look to develop their careers in the entrepreneurial fields. The college was also not very supportive as it lacked a dedicated placement coordinator or a team.
At our time the college was in good state . The college had all the sports available . Big leacture halls and good laboratories . The campus was quite large and nature friendly . Guru nanak dev university was a part of khalsa college at our time . Our classes were held in khalsa college and labs in guru nanak dev university .
I was studying bachelor of computer applications . I was in the first batch of this stream . This was quite a new stream at that time but due to interest in computers i choose this stream . Now this stream has been renamed to bachelor of technology in computer science engineering . We studied languages like C and C++ which are still in use in coding industries . But when i recently visited the college i came to know that the curriculum has been updated a lot .
The placements were average at that time as it was a new branch and we were the first to get placed . 30-40 percent of students got placed and the rest went for higher studies . But the college was supportive .
Had one of the best time with my friends and made a lot of memories in this college .
My college has all the necessary infrastructure and facilities but I feel there’s still a room for improvement. Like all the classrooms, libraries look really old and no changes are being made. There is no wifi and smart boards, all that is present in the class for teaching is white boards. One thing that I do like about the college is that all the place is clean everytime.
Academics wise I would say it is really good. Most of the teachers have Phd qualification and are well verses in their area of expertise. I am studying MBA integrated and I would say there hasn’t been a single concept which I am not able to understand. Also, yes curriculum is updates every year according to what recent developments are present at that time.
Placements wise I would say right now college is average since 70-75% is the placement record of 2024. But I feel that they are improving and no time they will shoot up. Average salary that I think has been offered is 2-3 LPA. College is very supportive in terms of placements, special placement classes are conducted so that students are well prepared.
I would say yes it is a value for money college. All that is required in a college is there. My course costed around 1,60,000 per year.
I would say it has the best campus life. There are so many events around the year that keeps you engaging in different activities. There are events like Jashn, where students of different departments compete against each other in various activities like Bhangra, Folk song singing etc. There are many fests also that take place near the festivals and are themed according to it.
Guru nanak dev university have good infrastructure and provides all facilities like wifi equipped campus, drinking water facilities, libraries, and hostels for both boys and girls. And university provides us safe environment.
I have done my mba form this university because I want enhance my marketing skill and I think its work. And teaching style is good and experienced. All teachers are helpful and supportive. Yes our curriculum is up to dated.
Our university placements are good most of companies are visited our college campus for placements and annual package offering by companies is three to five lakhs per annum. And placement cell is very supportive.
Overall University infrastructure is good. University provides all basic facilities like libraries, auditorium, playground, and hostel for boys and girls. University also provide safe and stress free environment.
I have done my MBA from this college. And in my experienced all the teachers are good and helpful. They gives us assignment, live projects, and last semester industrial training is compulsory. Yes our curriculum is up to dated.
Over all University placements is good. Most of companies visited our college campus for placements and they offering average annual package is three to five lakhs per annum. And placement cell is very supportive.
Infrastructure is quite good. Well equipped labs, spacious classrooms with projector facilities, well maintained libraries separate hostels facilities for sports , graduates and Ph.d scholars moreover health centre is also available for medical care.
I'm here studying MBA in HR.The quality of teaching is good but can also be improved by more emphasising on practical knowledge.Study here makes not really job ready but gain experience on different topics.
Here ,the Placement department is separately present. The Quality of placement is average because here students are not informed properly about placement drives and placement process is also not easy The average package is also not satisfactory.
I completed by MBA (Human Resource Management) in approximately 4.50 lakh but not worth it. Here MNC's didn't come for placement moreover no proper guidance given to student related placement.
The Campus life is good .The best part of campus is its greenery and nature. The location is safe and secure. The staff and teachers are quite supportive and helping ,guides every student well.
Good infrastructure, provided with all the lab equipments and materials students needed during their labs which is very helpful to learn about the course and teachers are also helpful to all the students
Always provide updates about the course in the outer world, how to implement the techniques students learn during their theoretical part. Provide notes to students that will help them in the competitive exams.
Helped a lot with placements. Also organize different workshops and seminars for students so that they can get an idea what to expect in the placements and also ask different companies to come for selection.
Worth the money with all the experience and knowledge a student during their degree. Provided students with all information and updates so that they will be ready for the outer world and get a good job.
Campus is friendly and secure . Campus provides good parking space to all the departments and good social life to students so that they can build their confidence a d learn how to grow with people from different culture
Good place to learn and grow
