The exact cut-off marks can't be predicted exactly, since it differs every year and in every college and college stream.

But, there is a reservation for above 50 percentage of the seats in most of the Himachal colleges for Domicile seats or Home State Quota candidate. So, if you have any of these you have a larger chance to get a good Seat.

Congratulations on making it to Himachal Pradesh National law University (HPNLU), Shimla.

  Yes! You can opt for an upgradation in the second or third merit list.  In case a seat in your preference list which is upper than HPNLU is vacated, you will be eligible for an automatic upgradation  

Note: please opt for upgradation option instead of lock option during counselling. This will make sure that you get the upgraded vacated seat if there is one.

After clearing CLAT you should register in the official website of CLAT. Then fill the application form from Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla website. You need to provide all the details and documents asked in the application form. After filling the form submit it. Admission will be based on CLAT score and the eligible candidates gets shortlisted based on CLAT score. This is the process vto apply for HPNLU.

The cut off marks for HPNET for general category is around 80-90. You are eligible for admission in Himachal Pradesh National Law University. The average package in Himachal Pradesh National Law University is Rs.3-6 LPA. The placement is quite good. You can definitely consider this college to pursue your dream.

           So this time also you may get it., although the cutoff this time is higher.

Cut off for any college depends on the number of seats available in a college, difficulty level of the question paper, and the performance of other candidates so they change every year. However according to previous year cut off marks for 53 for all India quota and 21 for state quota for the general category students in NLU Shimla.

For NLUJA, Guwahati you'll have to score at least 110 and for HPNLU you'll have to get at least 108 in CLAT for general category students. But even if you manage to score this much it is not certain that you'll get into these colleges because there are several other factors also like the number of seats available for different category students and students having the state domicile. But it's always better to score more in order to be on the safer side.
