Hey,
i would say amity law school Noida is better than HPNLU. It is a very popular college As compared to HPNLU. Also the infrastructure is very good. The faculty is well experienced and helpful. The college provides a lot of exposure and opportunities to the students.
Hello,
As you scored 120 marks in CLAT you can predict the rank using Careers360 Rank Predictor. The predictor can also take you to college prediction. You can use rank predictor at https://law.careers360.com/clat-rank-predictor. With 120 marks, you may get rank between 330 and 630. You have chances to get in NLU Shimla with this marks. You can check previous year cut-offs at https://law.careers360.com/articles/clat-cutoff
Hey Rahul.
The cut off for admission in any of the National Law Universities through CLAT in the previous year was a rank in the range of 1600 for the general category. Considering that your rank is 5596, your chances are less.
Usually there are vacancies in the lower NLUs as people leave their seats for other colleges. You might have less chances even then. Usually a rank under 3000 is safe for admission under Vacanies.
Though chances are less i would still suggest you to apply for it as firstly there is no harm in trying and also because this year there have been quite a large number of vacancies among different NLUs.
Along with HPNLU other NLus like NLu raipur etc also have vacancies you can check their official websites too.
But along with it i would also suggest you to not only rely on this and also find another back up option in case you don't get selected.
Other than colleges with their own entrances, There are various Private Colleges that accept CLAT scores other than the National Law Universities.
Hello, all the NLUs in india has a certain brand value for legal studies inspite of whatever shortcomings there may be in terms of infrastructure. Most of these new NLUs have campuses that are not yet complete or are undergoing renovation so that may be the reason for the bad press regarding infrastructure, but give it some time and things would get better soon. So HP NLU is still a very good place in HP for legal studies. Give it a try, if situation is worse than imagined, you could always exit or live in a rented pg or other accomodation.
Hello Raghvendra,
Yes, it can be a better option depending on your marks. It is good college, specially the VC and faculty is the best part of it. It is new but after all it's a NLU.
Hyy Raghvendra
You'll qualify for HPNLU, as expected cutoff for HPNLU according to us is between 80-90 marks for general category

dear aspirant, hope you are doing well.now coming to your question.as per the reviews by many students on web NLU shimla as a slight edge over JMI in comparison to many factors. Both of them are on the top in terms of teaching and academic operations.so choosing either of them will be definitely a win situation.
hope this will help.
Hey.
The cut off for admission in any of the National Law Universities through CLAT in the previous year was a rank in the range of 1600 for the general category. Hence with a rank of 10136 your chances for an NLU under the vacanies are very less. Usually there are vacancies in the lower NLUs as people leave their seats for other colleges. Various NLUs have started announcing their vacant seats like NLU Raipur. But a rank under 3000 is fair for vacancies. This year the vacanies are quite a lot, so you can stil apply if uoud like to try. But to be honest with your rank if you belong to the general category you have hardly any chances.
Best of luck
As himachal pradesh national law university is in its initial phase so the infrastructure is not so good but the library is in its best condition and internet is provided to both college and hostels and there are also the smart classrooms. The food is also hygienic.
