Talking about the infrastructure of the college, the college itself consist of one single building with 3 floor in it, the buildings are well maintained and each classes are equipped with necessary facilities required. Classrooms are equipped with smart board but not in all classroom, there is a well maintained library with WiFi facilities. The college itself does not have hostel facilities. The classes are well maintained and hygienic.
I was pursuing MA Political science. But those days were the best part of my education. The teachers are friendly and we can approach them when ever needed. Their way of teaching is extremely good which help me in my education. I should say they are the best and friendly teacher I have ever seen. Every year there is a slight change in the syllabus to update the education according to the latest curriculum. The education I have receive gives me a faith that I’m ready to appeared for any job if needed.
Well the subject that I have pursued have very little to none placement facilities, I have never seen any company coming to the college for a political science student. So I can’t give you the necessary information regarding the percentage to student selected, the salary offered.
The admission fee cost Rs 5000 while the course fee per semester is 18000. So annually we have to pay RS 32000. Looking at the fee given I believe yes I have receive the money worth education from the college.
The best part of the college is the relationship between the teacher and the student. The teachers are so friendly that you won’t hesitate to ask any question to the teacher, they are soo supportive. While the worst part according to me is the campus area, as the college is just a single building there is no place to mingle around with friends. As the college is located in Mizoram believe me it’s the most safe place you can be.
Our infrastructure is decent not that good nor that bad. We have a football filed, large spacious ground where we spend most of our time. Not all classes are attached with smart boards and we don't have a laboratory. We have a nice library where senior most students utilise their time. There is different college hostels for both boys and girls and private hostel that are linked with ICFAI as well. The environment is fresh and clean as well as the foods that we eat.
Pursuing my MCOM back then as I wanted to go for CA but at the end of 4th semester I decided to go for MBA and prepare for entrance exams. The teaching skills of the professors depends on various department and as for our department they were excellent. They gives us assignment and projects very often and based on that they rectify our errors. The syllabus are teaching are phenomenal and for students who are dedicated to it can easily attained job before we graduate.
The placement scene for M.COM is a quite good. Our institution ties with local business as well as banks where the teachers suggested the top students to these firms. The placement process is good because there were no pressures and there was not any bias from the teachers as well. The highest package at our batch got Rs55,000 and the average stands out to Rs 35,000. Our batch got the highest placement since ICFAI Mizoram started as out of 50 total students, 21 got direct placement
For M.COM we paid a total amount of Rs 88,000 per year including all expenses. This is quite huge in Mizoram but then when we look at the skills of professors, the knowledge that we gained, the experience that we had I do still believe that it is worthwhile. Every where you go, the top colleges normally their fees are not less but they do provide good education and I would say ICFAI is one amongst them
The best thing about the college campus life is spending time with our friends while the worst part is the condition of the road. Situated at the Durtlang, Aizawl where lots of winds are there and no traffic is what makes it so good to stay at ICFAI. Professors, staffs and students have a very good chemistry. Also juniors knows how to respect their seniors and seniors knows how to respect them as well. It is a safe place when natural calamities occurs due to location and building structure types
We have a football field, mini basketball court and average outside places where we can hang out. We have a library but no laboratories. We have only few classes that are attached with smart boards. Separate hostels are there for girls and boys where wifi is connected in both hostels. Along with this there are some private hostel nearby where ICFAI students stays. The condition of the hostel is clean and hygienic as we have maids who clean twice in a week. Foods are always fresh and tastes good.
I was pursing my MBA at ICFAI but for me honestly I think that it is not upto my expectation and thats why I am planning to pursue my MBA at top B-school gain. The teachers are not that great while some of them are truly amazing and there is no study environment in our class which makes us de-motivated as well. The course are however updated from time to time so that students who are really dedicated could prepare ahead for themselves.
There were 70 students in our class out of which 25 students got direct placement. The placement process is very chill as students apply for those post where they are interested in it and there are no separate Placement team as everything are handled by the teachers. In our batch the highest package was Rs 50,000 per months and average was Rs32,000 per months.
The fees are quite cheap as compared to other colleges. For me I paid Rs 55,000 per year which includes both hostel and academic fees as well. One thing I really like about ICFAI is that everything is economical which means the fees, the price of products inside the campus are not costly at all. And also, even though the education is not that good it is still profitable as compared to the expenses incurred on it
Situated at the mountain side in Mizoram, far away from the main city is what makes ICFAI so unique. You could see City view from the campus as well as the hostel itself which I would describe it as the beast feature and the worst is the road condition at some point before reaching ICFAI. We participate from time to time in Inter college activities and also host Intra college activities as well. When it comes to natural calamities, ICFAI is reliable due to its strong base.
The college infrastructure is moderate. We do not have a big open space but we can sit around in the open space. We have smart boards at some of the classes and we are included. Mostly those who are studying masters are having it. We have a library medium size and separate hostel for boys and girls along with private hostels. Wifi is connected both at the institution hostels and it's quite fast as it is in a hill area. The area is clean and food is also hygienic while the taste is moderate.e
I am pursuing my M.Com because I wanted to become a professor latter on and share my knowledge to people who needs it. The quality of teaching is above average while there are exceptional professors who are really great and hardworking as well. The syllabus is updated from time to time not that frequent but does includes every important topics. As a young and confident person, I do believe that I am ready for job interviews and everything because my learning dose't stop in the classroom.
The placement over here is quite good, especially for MBA students it's decent enough if you are working in Mizoram. From our batch the highest package till now is RS 65,000 who got placed in bank. Every year more than half of the batch gets placed and as our class there are around 45% of us who are unplaced. The average package at others years stands at Rs 35,000 for MCOM. The placement process is calm and relaxing as it is handled by the professor as they are very fair.
The low cost is one of the most attractive thing about ICFAI. For MCOM for the total course we paid RS1,70,000 and gets all the materials. The education system here is superb from my perspective because they make sure that the students understood each and every assignment/task given to them. Also, the way of teaching and the way of conducting lectures in the class is worthwhile comparing the cost.
Campus life for me is hanging around with my friends after class and eat something together. These are the best times during the days while the worst part is the road condition. We participate in Inter-college activities but not frequently. The teachers are supportive in every way they can and students do motivate us in terms of theses situations. Located at the hilly areas of Aizawl, Durtlang one gets the best views with immense calmness and peace of mind
I have written the review everything from my perspective of M.COM student. There are various departments involved but I would recommend whoever gets to read this, please do come to ICFAI if you are pursuing M.COM, as the lectures given here is upto the next level
The college infrastructure is not great at ICFAI and does not have all the necessary equipments. We have few grounds where we can play but it's not that big. Some of the classrooms have smart board but it's quite rare. We have a library where we spent most of the time. We have a separate hostel for both boys and girls as well as private hostel as our institution hostel cannot accommodate much. The campus is clean and fresh as well as the food is good depending upon the fees we paid.
I decided to switch my career and do MBA as I believe that I will be able to learn more. The professor here are moderate which means neither too god nor too bad. They focus more on the textbook instead of critical thinking and reasoning. The syllabus is updated after every 4 years and there are sometimes which lack the things that we need to learn. However, there are few professors who sincerely care for us and because of them, we gain confidence and excited to study and attend class
The placement over here is quite good. There were 25% students who got placed out of 80 students in our batch. The highest package was Rs70,000 and the average accumulates upto Rs50,000. The placement process was chill and fun for us because our place com team are very friendly and they help us by conducting training session where we learn the approach for interviews, Group Discussions , etc.
One of the best thing about ICFAI is the low cost of education. For the 2 years, I paid 1,00,000 during my time and depending upon the fees paid the education gained is quite decent. Prior to our batch it was more than this but they reduced it as they wanted to make opportunity even for people who are living in rural areas. Also there are certain concessions of these people where their education cost is lower than the rest.
it's average because there isn't much ample space available. We don't normally participate in Inter-college activities but when we do we make sure we bring home something. The best life about my PG life was the conversation I had with my friends after class and the worst feature was the road connected to it. The students and teachers are very supportive and friendly as well. It's located at the hilly area, where the wind is blowing decently, though the road is bad, but the place is awesome
