24 MonthsMBA is two-year full-time, residential, Master in Business Administration (MBA) programme, popularly known as Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) is IIMN’s flagship programme.
The programme aims to create leaders, managers and entrepreneurs with strong conceptual foundations and analytical meticulousness ingrained in a sound understanding of the socio-economic context. The programme facilitates students to take on challenges in achieving professional excellence and self- development.
The MBA has been designed with a view to prepare the students for leadership roles. It grooms the students into competent professionals with an orientation towards excellence and high ethical standards, irrespective of the sector they choose to work in – be it business, not-for-profit, government-related or social change.
Courses in this programme are an amalgamation of lectures, classroom discussions, case studies, individual and group projects, term papers, role plays, business games, etc.
In addition to the three terms a year, the MBA programme also includes an International Immersion on completion of the first year, a field immersion and a summer internship which together lay the foundation for conceptual and critical reasoning. These give the students an insight into the dynamics of business environment.
Candidates of the above criteria will not be eligible for admission if he/she does not submit a certificate latest by June 30, from the principal/head of the department/registrar/director of the institution/university (issued on or before June 30) stating that they have completed all of the required (the result can be awaited) for obtaining the undergraduate degree/equivalent qualification on the date of issue of the certificate.
Overseas candidate-
The CAT cut-offs shown in Table 2 will be used for selecting eligible candidates for all subsequent stages. The CAT 2020 score is the single criterion used to arrive at the shortlist in this stage. Only candidates with positive scores (>0) in all sections of the CAT will be considered for the admission process. The candidates who applied to PGP at IIM Nagpur in CAT 2020 form and also meet the cut-offs shown in Table 2 would be receiving an email/communication from IIM Nagpur around the first/second week of March 2021. Candidates who would like to pursue their candidature further for admission to PGP at IIM Nagpur SHOULD fill the application form for IIM Nagpur by the stipulated date.

Selection of the Candidates for PI process
Only those who meet the minimum CAT 2020 percentile requirements and have filled the IIM Nagpur application form by the stipulated date will be considered in Stage 2 of the admission process. The following aspects will be considered for the evaluation of these candidates:
a. CAT Score (CAT)
The CAT Score for each candidate will be computed as the candidate’s total CAT score ratio to the maximum total CAT score and scaled between 0-10. It will be computed as follows:
CAT Score= (Total CAT score obtained by the candidate/Maximum total CAT score+) *10
b. Past Academic Performance (PAP)
Here, institute evaluate the applicants’ academic performance (marks obtained) in the 10th Standard Examination, 12th Standard Examination, and Bachelor’s Degree Examination. As identified above, the eligible applicants will be assigned rating scores ‘A’, ‘B’, and ‘C’ based on the percentage of marks obtained in their 10th Standard, 12th Standard, and Bachelor’s Degree examinations respectively.

Work Experience (WE)
The total number of months of work experience completed (as of 31st July) will be considered to assign a WE score as per Table 3. Only full-time and paid experience after graduation will be considered. Part-time/Project/Internship/CA Articleship/Training/Apprenticeship/Pre-graduation work experience/ work experience, which involves payment as a stipend, will not be counted as work experience. For work experience in multiple organizations, all the durations (months and days) will be added to arrive at the total experience. For example, if the total work experience is for 13 months and 20 days in the first organization and 5 months and 2 days in the second organization, it will be considered 18 months and 22 days. While adding up days, 30 days will be considered as one month. A valid proof of the date of appointment, date of relieving/ work experience certificate, and proof of payment/salary will have to be submitted at the time of registration for the program. Work-experience for employment involving cash payment of salary will not be considered.
Final Selection of the Candidates
The candidates who have submitted the completed application by the stipulated deadline and have been shortlisted in Stage 2 will be required to confirm their interest in appearing for the PI process. PI schedule and details will be sent to these candidates, and only those who appear for the PI process will be considered for the final stage of the admission process.
Personal Interview (PI)
Candidates who have submitted the application form, have been shortlisted for PI in Stage 2, and have confirmed their interest in appearing for the PI will be required to appear for a PI to be conducted by IIM Nagpur. The interviews are likely to be scheduled in April/May
After the completion of PI , the Final Score (FS) of the candidate will be calculated as follows:
(0.40* (PI Score) + 0.15* (CAT Score) + 0.15 * (PAP Score) + 0.15 * (QWWE Score) + 0.05* (GDI Score))/0.9
a. Personal Interview (PI) Score
The candidates’ performance in the personal interview will be considered towards calculating the Final Score (FS). The score will be rescaled between 0 to 10.
b. CAT (CAT) Score
As calculated during Stage 2 of the process, the candidate’s CAT score will be used to calculate the Final Score (FS).
c. Past Academic Performance (PAP) Score
Candidate’s Past Academic Performance (PAP) score, as calculated during Stage 2 of the process, will be used to calculate the Final Score (FS).
d. Quality Weighted Work Experience (QWWE) Score
Candidate’s Work Experience (WE) score, as calculated during Stage 2 of the process, will be multiplied by a quality of work-experience score as given by the panel in the PI process to arrive at the Quality Weighted Work Experience (QWWE). QWWE will be used towards calculating the Final Score (FS).
e. Gender Diversity (GDI) Score
A gender diversity score of 10 points will be awarded based on the candidate’s gender (0 for male, 10 for female, and 10 for transgender candidates).
The selection at the end of Stage 3 will strictly be based on the candidates’ ranks computed separately for each category (General/EWS/NC-OBC/SC/ST/DAP) based on their Final Scores (FS). The numbers selected in different categories will be in proportions mandated by the law.
Overseas candidate-
The overseas status of a candidate is determined based on his/her residency and not nationality. An overseas candidate is any Indian or foreign passport holder who is:

Currently, IIM Nagpur operates from a temporary campus at VNIT Nagpur. The hostel is signal occupancy which includes all necessary furniture access to the recreation room, Gym, games and sports facilities such as basketball court, badminton court volleyball court, recreation room for the indoor sports, high-speed wifi connectivity CCTV surveillance, TV room.
